Being an entrepreneur can often consists of long hours and working everyday to grow your business. The goal you should aim for however, is to build a business that matches the lifestyle you desire.
Lifestyle means something a bit different to everyone; it could mean working from home (you know, the long commute in your slippers from the bedroom to the kitchen table), or to take Wednesdays off for your kid’s soccer practice, or to be “location independent” as some desire to be.
Whatever lifestyle means for you, it must mean a day off now and then to recharge. With this “Seven Day Facebook Marketing Plan” I am not suggesting you work every day of the week from here to eternity. What I am suggesting is to use tools to “autopilot” portions of your business so your business is working every day of the week. You can outsource (so someone else works every day of the week…..) or you can employ automated tools like Buffer. But, make sure your business is working every day of the week so that you can maintain the lifestyle you want.
So here it goes. Let’s go through planning your Facebook posts for every day of the week.
Sunday
Sunday should be a day to inspire, encourage, and make your audience smile. If you are a man or woman of faith, share something that shares your faith. If not, choose something that matches your personal beliefs. Perhaps choose a quote that encourages them. Or, your Sunday Facebook quote can be as easy as a cute, funny, or sweet picture that makes your audience smile.
Putting a smile on someone’s face is a gift they may need, and starting their week out by putting a smile on their face is a good way to do it.
Monday #motivationmonday
Ah, here we go with those hashtags again. Yes. An emphatic YES! Why? Any time we take advantage of the hashtag our posts are more likely to be seen. This is a way to “boost” your post without paying to “boost” your post.
Although I didn’t invent #motivationmonday I like it. Very clearly, it follows up nicely to Sunday. Continue the encouragement, make your client smile, give them the boost they need to start their week focused on their goals. Whether it’s a weight loss goal or taking their business to the next level, #motivationmonday is your opportunity to encourage them to stay focused. We all find we need encouragement sometimes, right?
What motivational quotes can you find that speak to your ideal customer? If you took one day this month to make a list of them, you could find plenty. Keep that list handy and each Monday choose one to post. Don’t worry about running out of quotes; you can always repeat them. If you’ve come up with 30-50 to begin with your ideal client wouldn’t be seeing them more than twice a year. This is a simple assignment that would not take you more than a day to complete and it would benefit you all year. Take this time to motivate you on #motivationmonday and get your list of quotes together that speak to your ideal client.
Tuesday
Tuesday has a couple of hashtags that could be beneficial. #TransformationTuesday or #TT is great for you health and fitness coaches. This is your opportunity to show the before and after pictures of your clients. What a great way to show that YOU get results and that others need to get off the fence and call you! This is your opportunity to shine and show others that you are an effective coach that gets results.
Business coaches can also use #TransformationTuesday. How about getting a stack of credit cards and writing the balance on a piece of paper. Then taking a picture with “debt free” on another paper. Could you show your client’s first store that was 500 square feet and now they are in a 3,000 square foot space? As a business coach, you have transformed lives, too. Although it may not be as easy to express as showing a before and after picture of someone losing fifty pounds, if you get creative you may just find that #TransformationTuesday or #TT can be an effective hashtag for you.
The other Tuesday hashtag is #TipTuesday. All experts can use #TipTuesday; just like with #motivationmonday if you spend a day writing down your best tips, you can share them each Tuesday. I guarantee you if you write tips relevant to your audience, they can’t help but share them. This will build your audience quickly.
Wednesday #humpday
#humpday gets a bad wrap sometimes; but, if you use it to get others over the hump with some encouragement or a funny “cartoon” picture, your content can be very sharable (is that a word?)
OK, OK, if you really can’t subscribe to #humpday and have a little fun with it, try #WellnessWednesday. Now for my health coaches this is a no brainer. Get those wellness tips, tricks, and recipes ready. This is the easiest day for you to create and curate content.
#WellnessWednesday can also work for my business coaches. Who checks to make sure their business is “well” (on track)? You know, that strategic plan that you set time aside to write every year? It’s not meant to be written and then shoved in your desk drawer; it’s meant to make sure your business is “well” throughout the year. So, for my business coaches, you can capitalize on #WellnessWednesday and help your clients make sure their business is healthy.
Thursday #ThrowBackThursday #TBT
#ThrowBackThursday is a chance to show your “human,” personal side. This hashtag is meant to show photos from “back when.” Dig out those old pictures of when you were a kid, when you first started your business, or when you bought your first puppy and share them. Remember people do business with people they know, like and trust. Allowing them to see a glimpse of your personal life helps create that connection. So join in to #TBT and share those old pictures of you as a kid.
Friday #fridayfunday #followfriday #FF
Friday gives you some options. #fridayfunday allows you to share more of your personal side, or the personal side of your business. This hashtag is great for sharing photos of your celebrations or other fun things you’re doing in your business.
#followfriday or #FF gives you a fun way to connect your brand to your clients, your client’s brands to other client’s brands, and your influencers to your audience. #FF is all about connecting and building stronger networking communities online. Have you ever gone to a networking event, been in conversation with someone, and said “You have to meet Sarah”? Whatever that person said during the conversation made you think they needed to meet Sarah because it would be a mutually beneficial introduction. #followfriday is the way you do the same thing online.
Remember, networking online on the social media platforms works very much like networking “offline” in those face-to-face local networking groups. The difference online is that you have a “virtual room” without limits. If you want to continue with the connect and engage theme, Friday is your day to optimize your posts to achieve this.
Saturday
#SocialSaturday is a hashtag without limits. Use this hashtag to share anything fun, social, and engaging.
There you have it: 7 days of Facebook marketing. It really isn’t that much work, is it? It’s easy, fun, and gives you the ability to connect with everyone in your virtual world. These hashtags could just expand the borders of your business.
