What Is It?
A six-part video series that provides training for internet marketing, targeted at people new to the field.
Before You Buy:
Despite the heavy amount of hype surrounding this product, it is not particularly exceptional, featuring long-winded videos and information that can be easily found through other sources. Although the cost of the program itself is relatively low, the number of upsells makes it somewhat expensive to actually follow through the program, and the quality does not make it worthwhile.
Targeted at people who are new to internet marketing, Digital Millionaire Bootcamp does provide some useful information, but there is better training available online.
The training on Digital Millionaire Bootcamp focuses on an approach of making money online that involves promoting products. Often this is practiced by people promoting products that are not their own, earning a commission in the process.
This approach is known as affiliate marketing. Digital Millionaire Bootcamp promotes this approach as well as a teaching the user how to create and sell their own products.
Much of the training is focused on the advantages of using affiliate marketing techniques and the selection of affiliate marketing partners and products.
The training starts off at a relatively basic level, which makes it easy for new users to understand, but it may still be difficult to follow for people with no experience at online business, as the training tells you what to do, but not how.
What I Liked:
Once I got past the amount of talking around topics on the videos, I did find them interesting. There was certainly some useful information within the videos if you are prepared to sit through them all. The ability to print out the slides was also a benefit, although most of the videos are talking, so there is not a lot written on the slides. Some of the information provided on the program would help new users.
What I Didn’t Like:
Hype
Like most similar products, the majority of the sales page for Digital Millionaire Bootcamp is nothing but hype.
- I wake up whenever I want;
- I go to bed whenever I want;
- I party whenever I want;
- I travel whenever I want;
- And I can spend as much time with family, or my Fiancee, Rachel, as I like.
This is a nice claim to make, and is probably true. However, it is also true for most people who make money online, including myself. These factors are the advantages of making money online and are certainly not unique to Digital Millionaire Bootcamp
Marc spends much of the sales page of Digital Millionaire Bootcamp promoting his own success story, using it as a way to ‘prove’ that he actually knows what he is talking about and has been effective at making money online. I completely believe that Marc Milburn has been successful at making money online, but this has absolutely no bearing on whether his product can actually teach me, or anyone else, how to make this money.
I bought almost every single ‘too good to be true’ product that was splashed in front of me, and racked up literally thousands of dollars in debt.
Every time I bought the latest training program I thought… ‘this is the one… this is the one that will work’. But I was wrong every single time.
I was spending a fortune… but I earned absolutely nothing… for three whole years. Sound familiar?
Perhaps one of the most important elements of making money online is learning how to step back and realize when people are making too-good-to-be-true claims, before spending the money
As Marc points out, people do spend a lot of time and money with programs that offer ways of making money online. I have found myself that most of the products that are sold online are simply gimmicks, and it is very easy to waste your money. However, if you are in this situation, then the solution really isn’t to buy another training program.
The truth is, information for how to make money online is available all around you and it doesn’t have to cost. Most of the effective techniques for making money online are not secrets and you won’t find them in highly hyped products like Digital Millionaire Bootcamp. I know I’ve said this before, but really, stop showing me your Clickbank earnings.
Look familiar?
Honestly, just about every product I have reviewed online does this, and it just ridiculous. Okay, so Marc Milburn earns $13,062 in two weeks. Well… good for him. Is this relevant to me? No, not really. For the sake of argument, let’s say that Marc actually does make this much, and he probably does. Does it come from the techniques he teaches? Maybe not.
Many times these screenshots are faked, and if they are not faked, they are from product releases. It’s very likely (and has been proven with other products) that screenshots like these are from the original release of THIS PRODUCT, not from the systems they sell.
What you might not know is that these products are sold on different platforms, across a long period of time. Though you are just finding the product now, it’s already been hawked and pushed across several different mediums like JV pages, email marketing lists, and other private groups.
This is just speculation, but it’s worth considering. Usually, by the time you can read a real, honest review of a product (because I was able to access it as a normal buyer), it’s been on the market for several months “behind the scenes”.
Upsells
Digital Millionaire Bootcamp is billed as being an amazing program designed to teach you how to effectively generate money online, yet the system is filled with upsells.
An Intensive Six-Part Training Program Designed To Accelerate Your Online Success And Allow YOU To Finally Build A Solid, Consistent And Scalable Internet Business… That Generates Five, Six Or Seven Figures Every Year Like Clockwork!
If it is really so good, why all the extra upsells and advertisements
After purchasing the product, the very first page I got sent to was another sales page, this time promoting a different product. Honestly, this is disappointing and frustrating. I don’t want to buy another product before I even know if the one I just paid for is any good. Based on all the hype surrounding Digital Millionaire Bootcamp, I shouldn’t even need another product. There are other upsells and products being sold in the members area of the website, as well. In fact, the site even has ads!
The fact that they are trying to sell me other systems is really off-putting, particularly as these systems are advertised as being just as revolutionary as Digital Millionaire Bootcamp.
In addition, the $27/month upsell unlocks another part of the site for users as well as another upsell for training in sales funneling ($47) and another for traffic training ($97). At this point, you are looking at paying quite a bit of money to get the full training, which to be honest, simply isn’t worth it.
Mentorship
Within his own sales pitch, Marc talks about one of the most important components of learning how to make profit online, which is to have a mentor. Having someone to ask for advice and to bounce ideas off really is important for learning how to make money online, but honestly, this isn’t something that is offered within the Digital Millionaire Bootcamp package.
“DURE – You Need A MENTOR!”
In fact, the only real interaction you get with the product owner or other users is through the Facebook group, which honestly isn’t that populated or that effective. At the end of the day, there is only so much teaching you can do through Facebook, it isn’t exactly a platform designed for mentorship. The internet can be a tricky place, particularly as things continue to change, and processes that were once effective go out of style.
Having community support and mentorship makes it much easier to navigate through this challenging environment, and you are much better off looking for training that does provide this. It’s worth noting that Marc does call himself a mentor throughout the video training, even though I would not consider him to be so. Effective mentorship involves significant interaction, and this isn’t something you get from watching a video.
Exclusive Video Training
Video training is always a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you find really high quality video training that teaches you a lot, but most of the time, video training tends to be low quality and the authors spend far too much time rambling, and not enough time teaching. Digital Millionaire Bootcamp offers six training videos in the main part of the members’ area, plus another two in the bonus section.
Each video is around two hours long, and can also be downloaded as video or audio, or just the slides. One of the reasons that companies provide video training is that it is relatively easy to make and doesn’t take a lot of time. It’s much faster to make a two hour video than it is to write a document providing the same information. The problem is, this isn’t always good for all users.
Personally, I hate trying to learn from videos, because I have to rewind every time I miss something and take notes, so I have something to go back to when I’m trying to actually follow the information in the video. Being able to download the slides helps somewhat, but having the training only in video form is really a disadvantage.
Perhaps the biggest problem I have with the videos that were actually part of this course is that they are very long winded, and they don’t really teach that much that is new or unusual. Including the bonus videos, Digital Millionaire Bootcamp provides you with around sixteen hours of video (eight videos, around two hours each) and a good portion of these videos are spent with Marc talking around a point.
This means he might spend ten minutes saying something that should really only take five, or less. Another major issue I have with the videos is that Marc talks a lot about being a mentor, providing ready communication and interaction, but this is really absent anywhere on the website.
As mentioned before, there is a Facebook community, but this has considerable limitations. Facebook groups are a new fad with products like this. I means that the product owner didn’t want to spend money to create a membership website, but wanted to create the illusion of a supportive community.
I will update this post as soon as I check out the community to give you an idea of what’s happening inside. Community is great. In fact, the #1 rated product on One More Cup of Coffee is an online community. But having a community and having an active community are two different things.
Who Is This Product For?
This product is targeted at new users, particularly those who have been struggling to make money through internet marketing. Experienced internet marketers will probably find most of the training too basic to be of any use. The information in this product may be effective for some new users, but in general, it is too basic, tends to be long-winded and overlooks some key elements.
Furthermore, unless you are prepared to pay for the upsells, the training within the product is limited. While some people new to the field of internet marketing may benefit from this training, there is much better training available online with fewer upsells.
What Now?
Digital Millionaire Bootcamp touches on some important aspects of teaching people about internet marketing, but ultimately falls short on these elements. The video-based training is not easy to follow for people new to the field, and tends to be long-winded, making it difficult to work out what to do on occasions.
To really learn about internet marketing, new users need to be following training that allows for much greater interaction and is more directional in nature. One of the best examples of this is Wealthy Affiliate, which provides training that is step-by-step and community based, helping people to find the support they need and come to a much greater understanding of the concepts surrounding internet marketing.
